INTRODUCTION TO SAR CONCEPTS AND

APPLICATIONS

July 18th

August 14th

August 29th

September 18th

The objective of this 1 day workshop is to familiarise participants with SAR data and potential applications. The workshop will provide:

An overview of basic concepts and terminology in relation to SAR data, including:
  Geometry, Radiometry
  Processing Levels
  Polarimetry
  InSAR, DinSAR

An extensive range of sample data from a number of sensors to illustrate concepts and SAR application potential.

Hands-on session allowing for interactive exploration of selected data sets to compare the effects of resolution, wavelength and polarisation, temporal change, speckle suppression, and polarimetric decompositions
.
